Learn About The History Of Baseball

Baseball, also called America s favorite national pastime, is certainly one of the older and one of the most famous sport ever played in the United States. It's known to have had a long tradition that adds to it still being one of the top most popular sports that has not lost its passion to the present day; it's even said to have evolved from the 1800s when a game known as "baseball" was played between teams. In those days, the bat and the ball used to be different; the players were supposed to hit the ball with the bat made out of brass or steel. Little league baseball even uses pine tar pitch and this pitch gets thrown from three feet away. The game itself is a source of fun and excitement to Americans of all ages.

With baseball's long history however, there has been a lot of evolution to how the game is played; for example, baseball rules have changed over the years. It's also been played differently especially when it comes to the way rounders are used. The original game of baseball involved four "pulley" types of players who had to throw the ball around a diamond or any kind of looped track. The object was to hit the ball into the center of the batting cage.

In the late 1800s, two teams from the United States were the first to use a "box" or a "hitting cage" which greatly improved the action of playing the game. The difference was that now, with the use of modern equipment, boxers, and batters did not wear clothes and instead, they just used leather jackets and boots. The game as it stands today would eventually require jeans and a shirt for the players. Although baseball has been around for many years, it certainly has undergone a lot of development, and the sport we call baseball can be enjoyed by anyone.
